There are two types of accounts: Student, Teacher.
You can find out what type of account you have as follows:
- Log in to Numerical Acumen.
- Go to your My Stuff page.
- From there, go to your Account page.
Your account type will be displayed on the screen.
If you can't remember your username and/or password, do the following:
- Go to the Log In page and then click on the Forgot your username / password? link.
- Enter your email address and press the Go button.
You will be sent an email which will tell you what your username is, and allow you to reset your password (if you need to).
You can change your username as follows:
- Log in to Numerical Acumen.
- Go to your My Stuff page.
- From there, go to your Profile page.
- Click on Change username.
You will be prompted to type your new username.
Your username must be between 4 and 20 characters, and must not contain spaces.
If your newly chosen username is already being used by someone else, you will be prompted to try another one.
For security reasons, you will also be prompted to enter your password.
You can change your password as follows:
- Log in to Numerical Acumen.
- Go to your My Stuff page.
- From there, go to your Profile page.
- Click on Change password.
You will be prompted to type your old password once, and your new password twice.
Your password must be between 4 and 30 characters, and must not contain spaces.
You can change your email address as follows:
- Log in to Numerical Acumen.
- Go to your My Stuff page.
- From there, go to your Profile page.
- Click on Change email address.
You will be prompted to type your new email address.
For security reasons, you will also be prompted to enter your password.
Once you have changed your email address, a "verification" email will be sent to it.
Open this email and click on the link within it to verify your email address.
(You will not be able to receive emails from Numerical Acumen until you have verified your email address).
You can change your time-zone as follows:
- Log in to Numerical Acumen.
- Go to your My Stuff page.
- From there, go to your Preferences page.
- Select your time-zone from the drop-down list and then click the Save changes button.
Your time-zone setting affects the way that game statistics are displayed to you.
If you have it set incorrectly, then the date-stamps on game statistics may be incorrect.
You can change whether or not you want to receive emails from us at any time.
- Log in to Numerical Acumen.
- Go to your My Stuff page.
- From there, go to your Preferences page.
- Tick or un-tick the Receive emails checkbox and then click the Save changes button.
Another way to stop receiving emails is to click the unsubscribe from emails link at the bottom of any email that we have sent you.
Please note that we will only send you an email if we have something important to tell you, so it is best to keep emails turned on.
